Trust.
When we first heard Nathan Richard’s idea for a handyman subscription service for his friends and family, we loved it. We immediately understood the value that having a skilled handyman “on retainer” might provide - and the time it would give back to so many of us with growing to-do lists.
When we asked him what made it work so well, he answered “Trust. My customers know me. They know my work. And I know them and their homes. They know they can reach me, talk to me, ask me questions… which it turns out as a rarity these days…”
So when it came time for Nathan to make a career change, we jumped at the opportunity to steward his vision and core values forward. We felt we could combine our business experience and connections with our love for honest work in our local community and build something meaningful. A business that would connect good people to each other, so they could do good work together. That’s why we founded TRUhand.
